Xcelsius XRS Creates Enterprise Dashboards for Microsoft Reporting Services
SAN DIEGO --Infommersion, the industry leader in data visualization software, today introduced Xcelsius XRS, designed for the rapid development and deployment of 'forward-looking' enterprise dashboards that include data from Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services reports. With Xcelsius XRS, businesses will be able to monitor corporate performance from one integrated dashboard that reports against SQL Reporting Services and allows for streamlined integration into the Microsoft Business Solutions product suite applications, such as: Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Navision and Microsoft CRM.
XRS combines Xcelsius' award-winning data visualization capabilities with point-and-click connectivity to the Reporting Services platform, giving companies the ability to take advantage of important Reporting Services features, such as full role-based security, server-side caching and proactive notification.
"Xcelsius XRS gives Microsoft customers easy-to-create dashboards that make optimal use of the key features of the Reporting Services platform, most importantly, security enhancements," said Don Peteresen, senior product manager for SQL Server at Microsoft Corp. "This gives organizations a competitive advantage by delivering critical business data in a safe and insightful graphical dashboard."
With Xcelsius XRS' Visual Modeling(TM) capability, customers can create 'forward-looking' dashboards that help executives identify critical data relationships, analyze what-if scenarios and peer into their company's possible future performance. With forward-looking dashboards, decision-makers use visual sliders and dials on the screen to alter underlying assumptions, and immediately see the impact on projected performance indicators directly on the dashboard -- dramatically shortening their time-to-decision.
XRS integrates with common Microsoft desktop and server applications, including Microsoft SharePoint Portal Services and Microsoft Office. It also offers Xcelsius' Dynamic Documents(TM), a one-click integration of 'live', interactive dashboards and scorecards into Microsoft Office PowerPoint slides, Adobe Acrobat PDF documents, the Web and corporate intranets.
"Companies are moving more and more to dashboard displays of management and business intelligence reports," said Santiago Becerra, CEO and co-founder of Infommersion. "Xcelsius XRS gives them a secure way to quickly create easy-to-understand executive dashboards for their new and existing Reporting Services reports."
Xcelsius XRS will be available in summer 2005 by calling the Xcelsius sales team, from the Xcelsius Web site and through authorized resellers.
