Former CEO of Navision Joins Advantage Business Systems

London: Gold Certified Microsoft Business Solutions partner, Advantage Business Systems, today announced the appointment of Jesper Balser, former CEO of Navision, to the position of Executive Consultant.

Balser’s main responsibilities in his role at Advantage will be to support the company with its business strategy, planning and ongoing growth through the management of business development opportunities.

Balser co-founded Navision in 1984. Headed by Balser, the company grew over the next eighteen years from a small Scandinavian business to an international provider of business software for mid-sized companies. This growth included a successful stock market introduction in 1999, a well-organised merger with Damgaard in 2000 and culminated with Navision being acquired by Microsoft in 2002. After ensuring a smooth transition from Navision to Microsoft, Balser left the company to pursue other interests.

Ed Vorwerk, Managing Director of Advantage commented “Jesper and I have worked together on a number of business opportunities over the years, albeit on an informal basis. Jesper’s appointment to Advantage further demonstrates the company’s commitment to Microsoft Business Solutions Navision and the business solutions marketplace. I look forward to working with him to continue the company’s success and growth over the coming years”.
